Setting up ServerFund Live
About five minutes. You need the free plugin installed, a Ko-fi page, and a ServerFund Live purchase.
1. Copy your Ko-fi token
On Ko-fi, open Settings → API and click Copy next to "Verification token".
The token only proves that donation notices really come from your Ko-fi. It can't be used to take money or log in.
2. Get your setup details
You've already set this server up. Here are your details again.
3. Point Ko-fi at the relay
On the same Ko-fi page, paste this into Webhook URL and click Update:
4. Update your config
In plugins/ServerFund/config.yml, replace the relay section with this, then run /fundadmin reload:
Keep the secret private. Anyone with it can read your server's donation notices. Lost it? Fill in the form again with the same email and token.
5. Test it
Back on the Ko-fi API page, scroll down and click Send Single Donation Test. Within about 30 seconds you'll see "Jo Example chipped in $3" in chat and the bar will move. Run /fundadmin remove 3 afterwards to take the test amount back off.
Good to know
- Only tips and memberships count. Ko-fi shop sales and commissions are ignored.
- Private donations show up as "Someone".
- Set
currency-symbolto match your Ko-fi currency. Ko-fi always charges in your page's currency. - Your server only makes outgoing requests to getserverfund.com, so no ports need to be opened.
